The Sunday Cabaret Series audience was in for a very special musical treat last Sunday, April 12, 2026 with Patrice Morris in her show "Queens of Soul," in honor of Aretha Franklin, Shaka Khan, Whitney Houston, and Tina Turner to name a few, but with her powerful vocals, heartfelt renditions, and energetic stage presence, Patrice was truly THE Queen of Soul on the Arthur Newman stage, and she energized her whole audience who ended up clapping, dancing, and singing along! Patrice's charming husband Ken ran all the music tracks in the cued-up order while SCS sound technician Johnny made sure the sound system and microphone were in tip-top shape. A one-hour show is not enough to satisfy one's hunger for more musical royalty experiences, so check out Patrice Morrris's website: she usually does 3-hour shows, as a solo artist, and also in a group called Quadrasoul: she and her male singing friends are all former members of the 5th Dimension! (Remember "Aquarius?")
Congratulations to Patrice Morris and big thanks to SCS producer Frankie Mamone and co-producers Harvey Arias (Luca) and Marcia Harp, for making it possible for everyone to attend quality performances by such talented artists every Sunday.
Thank you Micheline Morena for your fabulous images and heartfelt commentary!

The Sunday Cabaret Series is proud to be in its 15th season at the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert. The series began in 2010 when the Joslyn Center invited the legendary Les Michaels to move his successful cabaret shows to their theater. Les produced hundreds of spectacular shows over the years before passing away much too soon in 2022. Today, Frankie Mamone is honored to continue Les' legacy of showcasing the most popular and talented performers of the Coachella Valley for your entertainment.

Frankie Mamone has been producing shows and entertaining audiences his entire life. He started as a child actor in Ohio and later performed in Los Angeles alongside great stars such as Eddie Albert, Kaye Ballard, Connie Stevens, Carol Channing -- the list goes on and on! Today, Frankie resides in the Coachella Valley where he is known as "The Italian Crooner," specializing in tribute shows to Jerry Vale, Tony Bennett and other beloved vocalists.
